How To Block Unknown Calls On iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus (Caller Block Solution)

HOW TO BLOCK A SPECIFIC CALLER ON IPHONE 8

If the same unknown caller keeps calling you, you can add it to your contacts and then block it like you would for any other contact.

1. Switch on your Apple iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.
2. Click on the Phone app.
3. Go to your recent calls.
4. Find a phone call from the number you want to block.
5. Click on the letter ‘i’ in a circle on the right of the call to see info about the call.
6. Click on Create a New Contact.
7. Enter as much info as you want; this could be no information, if that’s what you’d prefer.
8. Click Done.
9. You’re now looking at the new contact card you just created.
10. Scroll down and click on Block Caller.
11. Affirm your choice by selecting Block Contact.

DO NOT DISTURB – BLOCK CALLS ON IPHONE 8 AND IPHONE 8 PLUS

Instead of blocking specific callers, you can put your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus into Do Not Disturb mode. This is a quick way to restrict calls, and you can customize how it works.

1. Switch on your Apple iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.
2. Locate Settings and click on it.
3. Click on Do Not Disturb.
4. The first option is a toggle for Do Not Disturb.
5. Move the toggle to ON.

You could also do it with the shortcut.

1. Make sure your phone is on.
2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, bringing up the Control Center.
3. Click on the icon with the moon; the moon will turn purple with a white background when Do Not Disturb mode is on.
4. Click again to turn it off.
5. Swipe down to close the Control Center.

After turning on Do Not Disturb mode, your incoming calls will be restricted. You can choose just how restricted they’ll be.

CUSTOMIZE DO NOT DISTURB – CHOOSE WHO CAN CONTACT YOU

1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Do Not Disturb.
3. Under Phone click on Allow Calls From.
4. Make a choice: the first options are Everyone (which does seem admittedly pointless, in this case), No One, or Favorites . You could also choose to allow calls from a custom group you’ve made in contacts.
