How to recover deleted files on Android

Check you cloud service app

There are many cloud options today, where you can store all of your data and files and access them not just from your phone, but from your computer as well. A great thing is that most of the companies that offer cloud storage made sure that all of the files are backed up automatically. So, instead of doing it manually, enable the option for automatic back up. This can be super useful, especially when it comes to photos. Before you start to panic after your photo is deleted, check your cloud service and if it’s still there, just download it and save in your Gallery folder.

Using an Android app

The first method to recover deleted files is using the Android app. There is a huge number of such apps on the Google Play Store, but our choice is DiskDigger.
The app offers you two modes of searching deleted files:
  1. Basic scan: you can recover files even if your phone is not rooted.
Choose the option “Start basic photo scan”. It will start the recovery process and you just need to go to “Scanning for files” section.
  1. Full scan: you can recover files only if your device is rooted.
Due to the fact that this option is for rooted devices, you can choose which storage or partition you want to scan. Then you need to select types of files you want to be found. After the scanning is complete, you need to select desired files and confirm recovering with the Recover option. Then you can save your files wherever you want.

Using EaseUS MobiSaver on your computer

Another option is to use your computer. There are many programs that you can use, but we recommend EaseUS MobiSaver. This application has an amazing algorithm which allows it to scan all of your device’ storage memory in order to determine what type of data you might have lost. It’ll search for all deleted files that might have recently been deleted.
To run the recovery process, you need to follow these steps:
  1. Connect your Android device to your computer and run EaseUS MobiSaver.
  2. After you did it, the app automatically starts scanning your device.
This process might take some time depending on your device’ storage capacity and its processing capacity. After about 10 minutes of running in the background, this application will analyze and arrange all the files that are found.
  1. After you check the list of files, you can choose those that you want back.
Keep in mind that for the best outcome, you must purchase the program.
